Mini Biography :
Ravikant Nagaich is an Indian film personality born at Atrauli- Uttar Pradesh, India in 1931- and died at Bombay, Maharashtra India on January 6th 1991.

He started his filming career as a Cinematographer in Telugu films, N.T. Rama Rao’s Sree Seetha Rama Kalyana in 1961 being his first film. With Farz He turned to Hindi movies and direction. This low budget thriller inspired by James Bond was surprise hit and helped Ravikant and the films lead pairs ( Jeetendra and Babita) career.

He went on to direct 24 more films Duty appropriately being his last ( Farz is an Urdu word for Duty). Though he had some big budget hits like Mere Jeevan Saathi. His low budget fare such as Surakshaa and Wardaat- again in the secret agent mode like Farz- are his remembered hits due to the tacky stunts and special effects and the fact that despite these drawbacks the films did well. Mithun Chakravorty too benefitted from Surakshaa to move to commercial films as Jeetendra had earlier with Farz.
