The most awaited movie Amitabh Bachchan’s Paa is released today on 4th Dec 2009. R.Balakrishnan is the director of Paa & Sunil Manchanda is the producer.
Vidya Balan has performed the role of single mother in the movie Heyy Babyy. In Paa she is playing the same role of a single mother. Abhishek suggests her for abortion but she brings up his child (Auro) alone in this world. Auro has the disorder of age due to which his age looking physically five times more than his real age but mentally he is according to his actual age. Both lovers went on different ways & after many years Amol (Abhishek) meets Auro at the annual function of his school where he gives award to Auro for his creative quality.
Auro was born with a rare genetic disorder called Progeria wherein a child ages fives times faster than his actual age. So at 13, Auro physically looks and functions like a 65 year old but is mentally as stable as his real age.
No self pity, just full of masti a kid his age would be. Auro has friends who form his support system apart from his mother (Vidya Balan) and his grandma who he lovingly calls ‘Bum’
R Balakrishnan (aka R Balki) has tackled a very complex subject and has brought out the beauty of relationships in a very forceful manner without even one relationship in the movie going over the top. Be it the relationship between Vidya and Auro; Auro and his Bum, Auro and his friends or even Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan) and his dad (Paresh Rawal). Though centered around Auro and his disorder, Balki manages to draw all relationships to the fore.
